Job Title: Senior Health and Safety Professional

This is a critical role for our company, requiring an experienced and passionate professional to drive the implementation and continuous improvement of our health and safety management system.

We are seeking a highly skilled HSE / Safety Advisor to join our team in Geraldton. This permanent full-time role will involve ensuring compliance with our Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) across our operations, driving initiatives to reduce exposure to principal mining and workshop hazards, and collaborating with operational teams to implement risk mitigation strategies.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in a similar role, along with strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and great people skills. They will be able to interpret and effectively apply the Work Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and demonstrate experience in health and safety systems auditing and maintenance of IMS ISO / FSC accreditations.

The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV or Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, and may also hold a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, Lead Auditor Qualification, and/or experience in senior or leadership roles within shutdown & contracting works on mine sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with the company's Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) across Geraldton operations;
  • Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of critical risk management framework;
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure initiatives and risk mitigation strategies are implemented and adhered to;
