Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Operations Manager to join our team at NEXTDC Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the effective management of day-to-day operations at our edge facilities, including the management of facility contractors, overseeing maintenance, and ensuring quality delivery of NEXTDC and contracting services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage facility staff and contractors to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Oversee maintenance and repairs to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance
  • Ensure quality delivery of services to customers, including NEXTDC and contracting services
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of data centres, including electrical and mechanical configurations, rack management, and design and installation
  • Understanding of high-density data centre power, cooling approaches, and technologies
  • Experience with telecommunications and connectivity
  • Knowledge of cabling and cable management, quality inspection, and assurance
  • Sound knowledge of building services, including structural, DRUPS/UPS, HV/LV switchgear, electrical design, generators, security systems, HVAC, fire, security, EMS, and BMS
  • Knowledge of various codes and applicable regulations
  • Management and leadership of facilities staff
  • A customer-first attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Service Now, and other computer-based building service systems and platforms
  • Exceptional planning, organizing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and effective interpersonal skills
