About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Operations Manager to join our team at NEXTDC Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of day-to-day operations at NEXTDC's Adelaide A1 facility, including managing facility staff and contractors, overseeing maintenance, and ensuring quality delivery of both NEXTDC and contracting services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of facility staff to ensure efficient and effective day-to-day operations at the Adelaide A1 facility.
  • Oversee maintenance and ensure quality delivery of both NEXTDC and contracting services to our customers.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of data centres, including electrical and mechanical configurations, rack management, design and installation.
  • Understanding of high-density data centre power, cooling approaches, and technologies.
  • Experience with telecommunications and connectivity.
  • Knowledge of cabling & cable management and quality inspection/assurance.
  • Sound knowledge of building services (Structural, DRUPS/UPS, HV/LV switchgear, Electrical Design, Generators, Security Systems, HVAC, Fire, Security, EMS, BMS).
  • Knowledge of various codes and applicable regulations.
  • Management and leadership of facilities staff.
  • A customer-first attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Service Now, and other computer-based building service systems and platforms.
  • Exceptional planning, organising, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and effective interpersonal skills.
