Position Overview

As the Marketing Manager – Travel, Services & Lifestyle, you will take charge of the comprehensive strategy, oversight, and execution of marketing efforts within the Retail Partners division, including our proprietary retail affiliate platform, Qantas Shopping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Marketing Strategy: Drive the marketing strategy for Qantas Loyalty, focusing on significant partnerships and initiatives that enhance growth and revenue.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to achieve optimal results.
  • Annual Planning: Collaborate closely with Commercial teams to formulate and implement annual marketing plans for partners and programs.
  • Budget Management: Oversee effective budget management to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data and insights to inform marketing decisions and optimize campaign performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in direct and digital marketing.
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing or a related business field.
  • Extensive experience engaging with senior management in marketing and business contexts.
  • A proven track record of identifying and executing marketing opportunities.
  • Experience managing end-to-end marketing campaigns, ideally in a data-driven environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development.
  • Proficiency in partner management and negotiation.
  • Excellent skills in budget oversight.
  • Experience working with media, advertising agencies, and marketing service providers.
  • A solid understanding of campaign reporting and analysis techniques.
  • Strategic thinking capabilities paired with strong analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with digital product teams and a good technical understanding of digital platforms (web and app).
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
  • Capability to manage and prioritize diverse business objectives.
