Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Global Import/Export Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing our import/export team, ensuring seamless execution of shipments, and driving business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and motivate your team to achieve exceptional results, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Network Relationship: Develop and maintain strong relationships within Maersk's network, aligning on business processes, service needs, and global requirements.
  • Customer Experience: Own customer experience, driving best-in-class customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Process Execution: Ensure smooth execution of end-to-end shipments, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Standard Adherence: Adhere to processes in line with agreed execution standards and monitor respective KPIs.
  • Business Growth: Identify and execute upselling opportunities, driving business growth through the network and collaborating with product teams.

Requirements:

  • Ocean Import/Export Knowledge: Strong knowledge of ocean import and export end-to-end processes.
  • Cargowise Expertise: Proficient in Cargowise and experience with its implementation.
  • Dangerous Goods Handling: Experienced in handling and processing dangerous goods/hazardous export shipments, DG qualified.
  • Trans Tasman Trade: Experience in Trans Tasman Trade is highly desirable.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively, with excellent people leadership skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage multiple parties across functions and geographies.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to understand and interpret performance data, making informed decisions to drive business growth.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
