Indigenous Outreach Specialist Position Overview

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative outreach strategies that bridge academia and the Indigenous community. The successful candidate will have a strong background in marketing, communications, and stakeholder management.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective marketing plans aligned with the Centre's objectives.
  • Manage relationships between internal teams and external partners, ensuring seamless communication and timely delivery of marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all communications channels.
  • Coordinate alumni engagement initiatives, including managing the MURRA Collective and documenting key event outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, accompanied by at least four years of relevant experience. A proven track record in liaising between external partners and internal teams, as well as excellent communication skills, are essential.

  • Essential Skills:
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing marketing campaigns, including digital marketing initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills for understanding customer needs and identifying market opportunities.
  • Proficiency in project management, including managing approvals processes and meeting deadlines.
