Indigenous Engagement and Outreach Specialist

The position of Indigenous Engagement and Outreach Specialist offers a unique opportunity to develop innovative strategies that bridge academia and the Indigenous community.

  • Strategic Marketing: Design, plan, and execute outreach plans aligned with the Centre's goals, overseeing all aspects of marketing and stakeholder management.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with external partners and internal teams to foster strong relationships and ensure timely delivery of marketing campaigns.
  • Brand Consistency: Work closely with colleagues to maintain a consistent brand identity across all communications channels.
  • Alumni Engagement: Manage the MURRA Collective, coordinating alumni communications and documenting key event outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, with at least four years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in liaising between external partners and internal teams in a marketing or project management role.
  • Strong skills in managing marketing campaigns, including digital marketing initiatives.
  • Excellent communication abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management, including managing approvals processes and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills for understanding customer needs and identifying market opportunities.
