About the Role:

This senior legal position plays a pivotal role in guiding the Department's strategic legal direction, providing complex legal advice, and overseeing litigation and statutory matters across environmental, administrative, and public sector law.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing strategies to enhance legal capability and drive impact
  • Championing good governance practices and fostering relationships with First Nations partners, legal experts, and government stakeholders
  • Managing and advising on environmental, administrative, and public sector law matters

This is a fixed-term opportunity supporting the introduction of Deemed Decision Making for low-risk, low-complexity assessments.
