At the Borough Council of Kings Lynn & West Norfolk, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Recreation Assistant to join our team at Alive Oasis Leisure Centre in Hunstanton.

This is a permanent full-time position working 37 hours per week, with a competitive starting salary between £22,368 and £23,964 per annum.

As a Recreation Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive an excellent service by providing exceptional communication skills and confidence in dealing with members of the public.

The successful candidate will be responsible for lifeguarding the pool, assisting with daily operations, including reception duties and cleaning tasks, to ensure customers have a safe and enjoyable visit.

You will also have the opportunity to teach swimming to all abilities, from non-swimmers to advanced, with full training provided.

To excel in this role, you will possess a competent standard of swimming and ideally hold National Pool Lifeguard and Swimming Teacher Qualifications or be willing to achieve these.

A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be required for all appointments.

Please note that you will be asked to complete a swim test prior to interview.
