Senior Customer Risk Analyst

Position Overview:
As the Senior Customer Risk Analyst at Credit Union Australia, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the management of the organization's AML/CTF operational processes, with a deliberate emphasis on achieving streamlined and compliant outcomes. Your responsibilities will include aiding in the operational execution of the AML/CTF Program, ensuring that all relevant duties and obligations are met in accordance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a structured escalation management pathway for the team, including a four-eye review for critical processes.
- Oversee daily operational management and team leadership in the absence of the Manager.
- Drive the execution of daily operational strategies, priorities, and processes, ensuring adherence by all team members.
- Enhance operational performance by achieving all performance metrics and consistently identifying opportunities for process and performance enhancement.
- Review team outputs to ensure compliance with policies and Customer Due Diligence obligations, offering real-time solutions to challenges faced by team members.
- Conduct quality assurance for key Customer Due Diligence processes in line with AML QA guidelines and lead initiatives to improve quality through training and process modifications.
- Champion the identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives.
- Execute operational processes as necessary when team capacity is exceeded or when service level expectations are at risk.
Candidate Profile:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar capacity, particularly in customer onboarding, KYC, and AML/CTF management, along with customer contact and complaint resolution experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of identification and verification processes for KYC/AML and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Experience in the Financial Services sector or a related field, with familiarity in resource planning, modeling, and scheduling, preferably with exposure to Active Operations Management (AOM).
- Relevant industry qualifications and/or experience.
