About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Second Line Operational Risk team at Auto & General Insurance. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our business and ensuring the integrity of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, report, and embed risk advisory support across the organisation, with a focus on business continuity, third-party contract management, risk in change, and financial and non-financial risks.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of operational risk-related frameworks, policies, and procedures, as well as the creation of training materials, reporting mechanisms, and oversight activities.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and subject matter experts across Corporate Services and Insurance Australia to ensure effective operational risk management.
  • Provide specialist advice and oversight on risk activities, ensuring the effective management of operational risks throughout the business.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiencies in risk identification and management across the Group.
  • Prepare comprehensive risk reports for the Senior Executive Team and Board Risk Committee, including evaluations against the risk appetite related to conduct risk matters.
  • Engage continuously with various risk activities, such as the Risk Maturity Uplift Program.
  • Develop and deliver risk education and awareness programs to ensure their embedment across the Group.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in enterprise risk management, supported by relevant tertiary education.
  • Familiarity with APRA and ASIC expectations within the financial services sector.
  • Experience in the general insurance industry is highly valued.
  • Experience in business continuity and third-party contract management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and high-impact presentation skills.
  • Experience in developing risk reporting for different levels within the organisation, including the Board.
  • Expertise in policy and framework development.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders across the Group.
