Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at Infinite Aged Care. As a key member of our site leadership team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations in the kitchen, leading a small team to deliver exceptional food and beverage services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Collaborate with the business to improve food outcomes, provide input on menu development, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Manage budgets and food safety processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality services to our residents.
  • Attend resident meetings, listening to feedback and working closely with residents to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Partner with community education providers to facilitate student placements and VET programs.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Certificate III or higher in Commercial Cookery.
  • Valid Food Safety Supervisors certificate.
  • Proven experience as a culinary leader, with a passion for creating exceptional food.
  • Resident-centric mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality services that meet the needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Progressive leadership skills, with experience in coaching and mentoring others.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new situations, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
