About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at JV Recruitment. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in overseeing the Estimating function, working closely with Sales, Operations, and Construction teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Estimating team to deliver high-quality, timely, and accurate outcomes.
  • Ensure the Estimating team has the required capacity and capability to meet Estimating KPIs.
  • Provide training and procedures to ensure consistent application of approved processes and templates.
  • Develop and analyze data to identify cost and margin trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the preparation of detailed, timely, accurate, and high-quality Master BOQs to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Manage the preparation of detailed, timely, accurate, and concise Custom Home Contracts for presentation to clients.
  • Regularly review and maintain a Variation Price Book of costs to ensure currency and accuracy.
  • Create Purchase Orders relating to Contracts, Colour Schedules, Working Drawings, Engineering, Post Contract Variations, and On-site Building Variations.
  • Manage the assessment and approval of all ETS Requests during Construction.
  • Regularly seek feedback from the Construction Team on the accuracy of Estimating and effectiveness of Estimating Procedures.
  • Provide Management Reports that accurately communicate the performance of the Estimating team and its impact on business margins and time frames.
About You
  • Experience within the Knock Down Rebuild residential space in both Production and Sales Estimating.
  • Experience with Data Build and MS Office is a must.
  • Exposure to Blue Beam, Click Homes, or similar software is advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading an Estimating Team.
  • You are reliable, detail-oriented, considerate, and demonstrate a genuine understanding of teamwork.
