About the RoleThis role involves providing accounting support to the PBTA team and clients in applying specific accounting standards. You will also assist the National Technical Accounting Head/Lead - PBTA in performing technical accounting research and ensure financial statements meet regulatory requirements and best practice.
Key Responsibilities- Provide accounting support to PBTA team and clients in applying specific accounting standards.
- Assist National Technical Accounting Head/Lead - PBTA in performing technical accounting research.
- Ensure financial statements meet regulatory requirements and best practice.
- Resource for PBTA team members seeking guidance on accounting matters.
- Compile GPFS and SPFS.
- Ability to apply Australian Accounting Standards applicable to clients' businesses and industries in which clients operate.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and the Corporations Act.
- Collaborate with the PBTA team and clients for annual GPFS preparation including planning, and identification and addressing of accounting issues.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- CA/CPA preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in auditing and preparing GPFS and SPFS.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and the Corporations Act.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing regulations and accounting standards.
- Experience with financial statement preparation software (e.g., Acurri).
The estimated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
