We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Reporting Specialist - Associate to join our Sydney Private Business Tax and advisory Division.

About the Role

This role involves providing accounting support to the PBTA team and clients in applying specific accounting standards. You will also assist the National Technical Accounting Head/Lead - PBTA in performing technical accounting research and ensure financial statements meet regulatory requirements and best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accounting support to PBTA team and clients in applying specific accounting standards.
  • Assist National Technical Accounting Head/Lead - PBTA in performing technical accounting research.
  • Ensure financial statements meet regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Resource for PBTA team members seeking guidance on accounting matters.
  • Compile GPFS and SPFS.
  • Ability to apply Australian Accounting Standards applicable to clients' businesses and industries in which clients operate.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and the Corporations Act.
  • Collaborate with the PBTA team and clients for annual GPFS preparation including planning, and identification and addressing of accounting issues.
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
  • CA/CPA preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in auditing and preparing GPFS and SPFS.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and the Corporations Act.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changing regulations and accounting standards.
  • Experience with financial statement preparation software (e.g., Acurri).
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

As a Tax Reporting Specialist - Associate at GTAL, you can expect a competitive compensation package, including a base salary, superannuation, and access to professional development opportunities.
