We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Indirect Tax team as a Senior Tax Consultant. The BDO Indirect Tax practice provides expert consulting advice on various federal and state taxes, including GST, Payroll Tax, Stamp Duty, and Fuel Tax Credits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and draft written advice for tax purposes, focusing on GST, payroll tax, stamp duty, and fuel tax credits.
  • Prepare and submit BAS returns, including associated files and workpapers.
  • Stay up-to-date with tax legislation provisions and provide technical support to the manager and partner group.
About This Opportunity

This role requires a university degree in Accounting &/or Law and 4-6 years of experience as a tax professional in a specialist taxation consulting role. Previous Indirect Tax experience in a mid-tier or Big 4 firm is advantageous.

The ideal candidate will possess strong written communication skills, including drafting technical tax advice, and be willing to apply original thought to analysing and solving problems. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills are also essential.
