Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes competitive remuneration, superannuation, bonus, and medical insurance.

Job Description

The Maritime Account Director is responsible for driving Thales' positioning as a Thought Leader, cultivating industry partnerships, and being accountable for driving key opportunities in the maritime sector and with the Royal Australian Navy.

This exciting role involves developing and executing strategies to expand the business within the maritime industry, enabling and driving key growth opportunities across the maritime sector, and collaborating with internal departments to ensure customer needs are met and solutions are delivered effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a senior sales or business development role within the maritime industry.
  • Understanding of large-scale programs and deals exceeding 20 million AUD.
  • In-depth understanding of maritime market dynamics, including key players, trends, and challenges.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and guide teams in large Matrix-style organisations.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of maritime regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
  • Strategic mindset with the capacity to develop and implement effective business development strategies.
