Occupational Therapy Assistant

About the RoleThis Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant position offers a unique opportunity to work with our multidisciplinary team, providing individual therapy sessions and assisting occupational therapists in co-treatment sessions. You will be responsible for managing equipment, participating in quality improvement activities, and leading student supervision.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in occupational therapy, working closely with experienced on-site Occupational Therapists. Our department is known for its friendly and supportive atmosphere, making it an excellent choice for professionals looking to grow and advance in their careers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual therapy sessions to patients with various clinical presentations
- Assist occupational therapists in co-treatment sessions, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective patient care
- Manage equipment, maintain inventory, and perform administrative tasks as required
- Participate in quality improvement activities, contributing to continuous service enhancement
- Lead student supervision, guiding future healthcare professionals and shaping the next generation of Occupational Therapists
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Certificate III or IV Allied Health Assistant qualification, or equivalent
- Current Victorian Driver's License
- Valid employee status Working with Children Check
