Chief Risk Governance Specialist Role

The Head of Non-Financial Risk will lead a team of subject matter experts to provide oversight, advisory and assurance activities in line with risk and compliance frameworks.

This involves ensuring the effective governance and management of all material non-financial risk classes. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the development of Compliance policies and frameworks.

Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Develop and lead a team of specialists in risk and compliance.
  • Policy Development: Drive the development of business policies and frameworks.
  • Risk Oversight: Provide independent review and challenge of risk management processes.
  • Strategic Input: Work closely with stakeholders to provide input into strategic development and implementation.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary qualification in a related field (e.g., finance, commerce).
  • Operational Experience: Demonstrated experience in operational risk and compliance roles.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication, project management and time management skills.
  • Autonomy: Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
