About the RoleThis is a rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. As a Care Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans, assisting with daily living activities, and promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Client Support: Provide individualized support to clients with varying levels of ability, including assistance with daily living activities, personal care, and transportation.
- Care Planning: Collaborate with clients and their families to develop and implement personalized care plans that cater to their unique needs and goals.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document client information, progress, and any concerns or issues that arise.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification;
- Certificate 2 or 4 in Individual Support or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded);
- Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability;
- Ability to work flexible hours, including day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends;
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines;
- Understanding of health and safety regulations;
- Basic care and first aid skills;
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
