About the Role

As a Care Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans, assisting with daily living activities, and promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support: Provide individualized support to clients with varying levels of ability, including assistance with daily living activities, personal care, and transportation.
  • Care Planning: Collaborate with clients and their families to develop and implement personalized care plans that cater to their unique needs and goals.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately document client information, progress, and any concerns or issues that arise.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification;
  • Certificate 2 or 4 in Individual Support or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded);
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability;
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends;
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines;
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations;
  • Basic care and first aid skills;
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
