Job Description

Delivery Excellence

As a Technical Program Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring effective collaboration across multiple squads and aligning work with the product roadmap to achieve outcomes. You will ensure all work is transparent and well-managed, providing an escalation point when necessary to facilitate effective delivery and remove impediments for the team. You will build, manage, and execute quarterly plans, ensuring all required people (technology and business) in product and platform teams are engaged and procured in line with stakeholder expectations and Bupa processes.

Resource Engagement and Procurement

You will regularly report on delivery and flow metrics, utilizing agile and lean delivery metrics (cycle time, lead time, throughput) and health metrics (engagement, quality, risk) to provide insight and feedback on team performance in line with achievement of objectives. You will collaborate with the team to identify and improve ways of working to improve delivery performance, and contribute to product delivery excellence and frameworks.

Governance and Controls

You will observe the guardrails of related portfolio governance (risk, delivery standards, finance management) and collaborate with the Head of Portfolio/Technical Lead/Head of Technology to ensure portfolio and team alignment. You will establish and maintain appropriate governance controls to ensure sustainability and ownership while adhering to organisational policies and standards. You will liaise with Finance and closely manage the budget, ensuring all budgets and forecasting are accurate, transparent, tracked, and up-to-date.

Leadership and Management

You will apply strong adaptive leadership and management skills, coupled with expertise in agile portfolio and program management or strategy/business planning, to uphold the integrity of the portfolio. You will directly manage a team of Delivery Managers/Business Analysts and collaborate with the appropriate teams to ensure performance management, standards, and people career growth are a priority.
