This is an exciting opportunity to join the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) as a Technical Product Owner. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing squad of engineers in delivering strategic programs of work.

You will work closely with central enablement teams to translate product vision into actionable tasks and be responsible for delivery outcomes. You will also work with business stakeholders to capture problems into user stories and workshop with engineers to action into solutions.

This role requires a strong understanding of DevOps, C/CD, system integrations, APIs, and software engineering. Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, Scrum, and Agile framework is also essential.

  • You will lead a high-performing squad of engineers in delivering strategic programs of work.
  • You will work closely with central enablement teams to translate product vision into actionable tasks and be responsible for delivery outcomes.
  • You will work with business stakeholders to capture problems into user stories and workshop with engineers to action into solutions.
  • You will be responsible for identifying and managing risks, dependencies, and issues for the squad.
  • You will work collaboratively with engineers of other product teams and business stakeholders to prioritize the backlog and identify pain points, automation opportunities, and performance bottlenecks.
  • You will facilitate the gathering of ideas from the teams within CBA and distill them into a customer backlog.
  • You will take accountability for the development and direction of strategic programs of work using knowledge of platform architectures.
