Job Description

The Payments Business Analyst role is responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements, interacting with clients, and supporting the development and testing teams throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in banking payments and a strong understanding of payment systems, standards, and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct requirement analysis and engage in client interactions to gather business needs.
  • Prepare and maintain BRD, FRD, and SRS documents.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure test cases are mapped to requirements and support UAT activities.
  • Provide expertise in ISO XML20022 messaging standards and ensure compliance across payment systems.
  • Work on various payment domains including cross-border payments, RTGS/ACH, SWIFT payments, and domestic payments.
  • Participate in and support Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the Payments domain.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO XML20022 and SWIFT messaging standards.
  • Hands-on experience with RTGS, ACH, SWIFT, and domestic payment systems.
  • Familiarity with banking operations, clearing systems, and fund transfer mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in requirement documentation and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies with practical exposure to Agile practices.
