Senior Business Analyst

The role of a Senior Business Analyst is to lead the definition of business problems, gathering technical and non-technical information through in-depth investigation. This involves outlining detailed business requirements and technical requirements for a solution that meets business needs.

  • Detailed analysis and gathering of information to drive business problem solving.
  • Developing solutions that meet business needs by working with stakeholders and teams.
  • Collaborative work with cross-functional teams to solve complex business challenges.
  • Analyzing data to inform and validate opportunities and requirements.
  • Traceability between technical and functional requirements during development and testing.
Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Business Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering Requirements: Gather and document business and technical requirements, analyze data to inform and validate opportunities and requirements.
  • Solution Development: Develop solutions that meet business needs by working with stakeholders and teams.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex business challenges.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members to ensure understanding and alignment.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as a Senior Business Analyst, you will need:

  • Technical Business Analysis: 5+ years of experience in technical business analysis covering both business requirements and technical requirements.
  • SQL Skills: Knowledge of SQL skills and experience using SQL.
  • Project Management: Well-practiced and experienced in project management fundamentals and how the analyst role contributes to them.
  • Presentational Skills: Experienced in presenting to senior executives.
  • Agile Delivery: Understanding, experience, and qualification in Agile delivery practices.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, presentation skills, and oral and written communication skills.
