Community Development Officer

">Description:

Mitchell Shire Council is seeking a highly organised and experienced individual to join their team as a Community Development Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to make a real difference in the community.

">Key Responsibilities:

This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day implementation of the Broadford Living and Learning Centre, including developing structures and consultative processes to enable appropriate involvement of staff, volunteers, advisory committees, and the community in planning and program development.

The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated experience in delivering community development frameworks, coupled with a strong background in customer service and community liaison. They will possess high collaboration skills working with diverse stakeholders, computer proficiency, and effective budget management skills.

The successful applicant will have excellent time management skills, enabling them to prioritise effectively and manage competing requests while onsite. They will also have excellent oral and written communication skills, ensuring smooth interactions with staff, stakeholders, and the community.

Benefits:

This is a permanent, part-time (0.7 EFT) opportunity with remuneration beginning at $91.6K to $99.6K (Band 6) plus superannuation.
