We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven National Account Manager to lead our growth in the Independent Grocery channel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales revenue, managing key national accounts, and expanding our customer base.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement quarterly business reviews, category reviews, and joint customer plans to drive sales growth and improve market share.
- Coordinate and communicate with internal departments, including logistics, distribution, accounts, marketing, and operations to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
- Achieve revenue, margin, and contribution targets for designated customer groups through effective sales planning and execution.
- Utilize consumer insights and data analysis to identify and maximize existing business opportunities and drive new growth.
- Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales revenue and volume, and coordinate campaigns and promotions with key customers to drive sales growth.
- Conduct competitor analysis and understand market trends to make strategic recommendations for future planning.
- Collaborate with Merchandise and Category Managers, franchises, and Group Marketing Managers to plan, monitor, and review activities to ensure alignment with sales strategies.
- 3-4 years' experience in FMCG sales leadership, account management, or business development.
- Experience within Independent Grocery account management, including Metcash Head Office, state DCs, and key MSO retailers.
- Strong relationship building and high levels of tenacity and resilience, with a results-orientated mentality.
- Experience with FMCG databases such as Quantium, Nielsen, and IRI/Aztec.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, or a related field are desirable.
- Current Australian driver's licence is required.
- Proven track record in managing and negotiating trading terms and range reviews with major customers.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, demonstrating strong commercial acumen, resilience, professionalism, and work ethic.
