Paediatric Therapy Support Specialist

The Allied Health Assistant plays a vital role in delivering paediatric Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy services.
This permanent part-time position offers a unique opportunity to work across Bankstown Community Health Centre and Fairfield Community Health Centre, supporting children and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
As an integral member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality support to allied health professionals in delivering individual and group therapy programs, preparing resources, clinical administrative tasks and engaging directly with children and families.
Your ability to connect with culturally diverse communities and your commitment to inclusive, family-centred care will be key to your success. We're looking for someone who is proactive, empathetic, and confident in working across different settings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high quality clinical service to clients and their families/carers under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional to optimise health outcomes.
- Undertake designated departmental and administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery.
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or relevant qualification. Alternatively, minimum 12 months full-time equivalent relevant experience with a commitment to undertake the Certificate IV in AHA within 12 month period.
- Experience providing clinical support under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional and describe how your contribution helped optimise outcomes for paediatric clients or their family.
- Outline your experience with administrative tasks and clinical documentation, including accuracy and confidentiality in your work and systems or tools used to support service delivery.
- Examples of prioritising tasks and managing workload effectively while working independently and within your scope of practice are required.
