Paediatric Occupational Therapist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team in a flexible subcontractor capacity.

  • This role offers autonomy, meaningful work, and weekly supervision in a supportive and reflective environment.
About the Role

You will support children in their natural environments using neuroaffirming, relationship-based, and developmentally appropriate therapy practices.

  • Deliver 1:1 therapy sessions tailored to each child's goals, sensory profile, and developmental stage.
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualised therapy plans in collaboration with families.
  • Implement sensory integration strategies and early intervention techniques.
  • Monitor client progress and adapt therapy approaches as needed.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation, including session notes, progress reports, and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with families, schools, and other professionals to support holistic outcomes.
  • Provide parent coaching and guidance on home-based strategies.
  • Manage your own caseload and calendar.
  • Participate in weekly supervision and team reflection sessions.
Requirements
  • Degree qualification in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or Psychology.
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Minimum 2 years paediatric clinical experience.
  • Proven ability to work independently with confidence and clinical soundness.
