The role of an Occupational Therapist is to provide clinical governance, leadership, and expertise within paediatric occupational therapy services.
- Deliver safe, timely, compassionate, and high-quality person-centered care to our clients.
- Clinical Governance: Ensure that all therapeutic interventions are grounded in evidence-based practice, respecting the principles of best available research and expert opinion.
- Leadership: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement new treatment protocols, ensure effective communication among team members and identify opportunities for quality improvement.
- Expertise: Stay current with advancements in the field, enhance professional development through ongoing education and training.
- Provide safe, timely, compassionate, and high-quality person-centered care to paediatric patients.
- Implement the Brighter Beginnings preschool health and development screening program effectively.
- Evaluate initiatives and contribute to the development of education and training programs.
- Participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.
- A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed suitable by us, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and significant experience in paediatric populations.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying evidence-based practice and/or developing treatment protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in a range of programs.
- High organisational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
