Job Title: Compliance and Risk Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Compliance and Risk Professional. In this role, you will be responsible for providing practice support to our offices on matters across various industries, related to know your client (KYC) requirements and aspects of risk, regulatory compliance, and conflicts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide practice support to our offices on matters related to KYC requirements, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in on-boarding new clients and matters, ensuring all details are correct in accordance with regulatory standards and firm policy.
  • Conduct client due diligence, review KYC documentation, and undertake Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and sanctions searches on clients as appropriate.
  • Monitor and assess client and matter risks, dealing with these in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure matter information is kept accurate and up-to-date, producing spreadsheets to monitor client and matter inception process status.
  • Train internal teams and wider firm on best practices.
  • Undertake research projects to improve matter inception, policy, and process.
  • Assist other teams as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a compliance function at a professional services firm.
  • Bachelor of Laws or equivalent degree, with some legal work experience preferred.
  • Experience in AML and ability to work within a framework of regulatory compliance.
  • Capability to identify conflicts and risk within a law firm.
  • Resilience and ability to develop strong internal and external relationships.
