Job Opportunity: Governance Support Specialist">">Chandler Macleod is a leading provider of temporary contractors to government agencies, with over 25 years of partnership experience. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Governance Support Specialist to join a leading Federal Government Agency.

This is a 12-month contract located in Surry Hills. As the Governance Support Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for facilitating the agency's corporate governance processes through the provision of secretariat support to the Council and ensuring that the Council fulfils its statutory obligations.

Key responsibilities include:

- Coordinating preparation and distribution of meeting papers consistent with charter / terms of reference requirements, including ensuring accessibility for people with disabilities

- Managing meeting logistics, including attendance and travel, ensuring accessibility for persons with disability

- Maintaining complete and final sets of meeting papers

- Attending meetings to ensure smooth proceedings

- Taking minutes

- Maintaining the Register of Material Interests

- Assisting with induction and onboarding of new meeting attendees

- Assisting with development and maintenance of governance policies, procedures, and guidance documents

Required skills and qualifications include:

- High-level writing skills

- Previous secretariat experience

- Demonstrated complex stakeholder management

- Experience in interpretation and development of governance policies, procedures, and guidance

- Demonstrated understanding of accessible communication

- Problem-solving skills

- Time management
