About our team
Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Claims Processor to join our team. As a Claims Processor, you will play a crucial role in processing claims requests, managing payments and dealing with high-risk calls.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Registering certificates and processing payments of accounts and weekly payments received on behalf of employers, injured workers, providers and the Victorian WorkCover Authority in relation to injured worker's compensation claims.
- Entering data for individual claims portfolios.
- Dealing with high-risk calls with patients.
- Processing claims requests in accordance with policies, laws and regulations.
- CIP (Community Integration Program) Claims.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Customer service experience within a medical or corporate environment.
- Strong written and interpersonal skills, including effective liaison with patients, medical, paramedical and legal practitioners.
- Sensitivity to issues related to people with medical, cultural and social needs.
- Tech capability – working across multiple platforms and being self-sufficient with technology and troubleshooting systems.
- Processing abilities – claims management activities, e.g., file noting.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing, sometimes high-pressured environment.
