We are seeking an experienced Insurance Claim Specialist to manage day-to-day claims activities, including reviewing and preparing files for various types of claims.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with external partners to ensure smooth claims processing.
- Review and prepare claims for approval under Board delegation.
- Monitor claim statuses and address any delays promptly.
- E nsure timely payments for Income Protection claimants.
- Stay updated on procedures and regulations to streamline processes.
- B uild and maintain positive relationships internally and externally, while ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Proficiency in assessing various life claims using group life insurance principles.
- Strong communication skills, especially during sensitive discussions with members and beneficiaries.
- Knowledge of Trustee responsibilities and complaints processes (preferred).
- Empathy, attention to detail, and exceptional written and verbal communication.
- A background in insurance and/or superannuation (qualification desirable).
- Familiarity with superannuation legislation and tax laws (desirable).
- Initiative and a team player mindset.
