About Residential Support Worker Role

Are you a passionate professional seeking to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities, the aging, and those experiencing disadvantage? We are looking for a skilled Residential Support Worker to join our dedicated team.

This role involves providing personalized care, community access, and person-centered supports to empower clients to develop independent living skills and live the life they want. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team that provides individualized training to ensure you have the necessary skills to support our diverse cohort of residents.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate IV in Disability Studies or willingness to undertake whilst working
  • A current First Aid Certificate with up-to-date CPR
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
  • A current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
  • All applicants must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and meet the requirements of our Covid-19 Vaccination Policy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and community access to clients
  • Support clients to develop independent living skills
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide individualized training
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to decision-making processes

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Capacity to empathize with clients and their families
  • Flexibility to work across a range of shifts
