Job OverviewThis role involves providing personal care and support to individuals with disabilities in a safe and respectful environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with individuals with disabilities and be able to engage and build rapport with clients, families, and caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities such as grooming, bathing, and dressing
- Encourage participation in community activities and social events that promote independence and inclusion
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and caregivers through effective communication and empathy
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities (required)
- Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent (highly desirable)
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID009 CPR certifications (completed within 3 years and 12 months respectively)
- Victoria Working With Children Check and Police check (completed within 6 months)
- Driver's licence and reliable vehicle access
- Comprehensive car insurance and NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccinations 1 & 2
