As a support worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to live their best lives and make a positive impact on others' lives.
About the Role:
- Provide one-on-one support to participants, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Promote independence and self-sufficiency by encouraging and teaching life skills.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment where participants can thrive.
- Maintain accurate and confidential participant records.
- Communicate effectively with participants, their families, and the care team.
- Respond to participant's unique needs and challenges with empathy and patience.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering high-quality support services that cater to individual needs.
- Collaborating with the care team to develop personalized plans.
- Encouraging social interaction and community engagement.
- Providing education and training on life skills and independent living.
- Participating in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Cert III/IV in Disability or equivalent qualification.
- NDIS Screening Check.
- NDIS Induction Module.
- NDIS Orientation Module.
- Previous experience in a support worker role or related field is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on others' lives.
- Ability to adapt to various participant needs and preferences.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
