Unlocking Translational Science through PhD Scholarship

This is an exciting opportunity to join Swinburne's Design Factory Melbourne (DFM) and the nandin Innovation Centre at Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANTSO) as a PhD scholar.
The successful candidate will conduct research in one of four areas: innovation processes, innovation mindset, innovation community and culture, or innovative space and environment. The project aims to explore translational science, innovation management, and innovation practices to address societal needs.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct an in-depth literature review and primary research to define a research gap and develop relevant research questions.
- Develop and apply relevant research methods to achieve desired outcomes.
- Pilot commendations/interventions with partner organisations.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A first-class or 2A honours degree, or a Masters by research in design, innovation, or technology fields, and meet Swinburne's entry requirements for the Doctor of Philosophy.
- Prior research or practice experience in one of the four innovation topic areas.
- Analytical thinking and critical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management skills and self-directed working.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse, multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
This role will be located at the nandin Innovation Centre in Lucas Heights, Sydney, NSW. The estimated annual salary is approximately $85,000 AUD.
