Business Development Manager

About the Role:

This position is responsible for managing and building strong relationships with a portfolio of customers to drive growth through customer acquisition, increasing share of wallet, and referrals.

The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in structuring deals, collaboration with Product Partners and other stakeholders to design, structure, and execute deals efficiently while managing operational risks effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting in the best interest of the customer and applying a customer-centric approach.
  • Developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of customer business and financial needs.
  • Providing customers with appropriate solutions.
  • Building and maintaining internal and external networks to support deal design and execution.

The successful Business Development Manager will be responsible for:

  • Portfolio Management: The selection, prioritization, and management of a portfolio of work or customers in line with its strategic objectives and capacity to deliver.
  • Commercial Acumen: Taking a big picture view of the organization, market, external pressures, and trends to identify actions or strategies to drive efficiency and create long-term value.
  • Planning and Prioritization: Planning and prioritizing tasks including people, process, and technology implications to deliver upon customer/user needs and strategic priorities.

  • Coaching: Helping people move from where they are to where they want to be using effective coaching techniques.
  • Portfolio Management: Managing portfolios of work or customers to meet strategic objectives and capacity.
  • Commercial Acumen: Identifying actions or strategies to drive efficiency and create long-term value.
Industry Experience:

Current and ongoing understanding of industry trends is required, including in-depth knowledge of drivers, practical market and competition factors, key customer success indicators, supplier norms, and strategy application within the industry.
