We are offering a competitive basic salary range of $105,000-$115,000 per annum + super. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for improving the organization's market position and achieving financial growth by defining long-term strategic goals, building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing deals, and maintaining knowledge of current market conditions.
Your primary role will be to prospect for new clients through various means such as networking, cold calling, advertising, and other methods of generating interest from potential clients. You will then plan persuasive approaches and pitches to convince potential clients to do business with us. You must develop a rapport with new clients, set targets for sales, and provide support to continually improve the relationship.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prospecting for potential new clients and turning it into increased business
- Cold calling as appropriate within the market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
- Meeting potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging the business network
- Identifying potential clients and decision makers within the client organization
- Researching and building relationships with new clients
- Setting up meetings between client decision makers and the Managing Director
- Planning approaches and pitches
- Developing proposals that speak to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives
- Participating in pricing the solution
- Handling objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion
To succeed in this role, you must be motivated for sales, have strong prospecting skills, and be able to identify customer needs and challenges.
