Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Aboriginal Family Support Specialist to join our team. As an Aboriginal Family Safety Worker, you will play a vital role in engaging with Aboriginal families and children from birth to four years, delivering support and activities that promote family safety and address the impacts of family violence.

You will work closely with community services and organizations to develop and implement programs that promote family safety and well-being. Your expertise will be essential in providing culturally specific advice relating to family engagement and the development of support strategies that improve the safety of Aboriginal families.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. If you are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of Aboriginal families and children, we encourage you to apply.

Essential Requirements
  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)
  • Ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships with Aboriginal families and community services
Desirable Requirements
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Experience working with Aboriginal communities and families
