The Department for Education, Children and Young People is dedicated to working collaboratively with families and communities to ensure every child and young person in Tasmania is known, safe, well and learning.
About The Role- Deliver culturally specific guidance on family engagement and develop strategies that enhance the safety of Aboriginal families within a Child and Family Learning Centre environment.
- Provide support and activities that promote family safety and address the impacts of family violence on children.
- Engage with Aboriginal families and children from birth to four years old, including pregnant women, accessing CFLCs.
- Develop and implement culturally specific support strategies to improve the safety of Aboriginal families within the CFLC environment.
- Collaborate with other services and agencies to provide a coordinated approach to supporting Aboriginal families.
- Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment).
- Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander identity, as determined by the Head of the State Service.
