Behaviour Support Practitioner Role

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in providing high-quality, person-centred behaviour support services. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in delivering tailored behaviour support plans that promote positive outcomes and enhance quality of life.

  • Your key responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive assessments to identify functional behaviours and support needs, developing and implementing evidence-based behaviour support plans, and providing specialist behaviour support interventions and strategies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, or a related allied health discipline
  • Demonstrated or emerging experience in the provision of behaviour support services, preferably within the disability or mental health sectors
  • A thorough understanding of positive behaviour support principles and the ability to apply them in practice
  • Strong clinical assessment and case formulation skills, with the ability to develop and implement tailored behaviour support plans
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with clients, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
