About the role
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Alliance Clinics, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, person-centred behaviour support services to our diverse client base. Working in a full-time capacity, you will be responsible for developing and implementing tailored behaviour support plans that promote positive outcomes and enhance quality of life.
What you'll be doing
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the functional behaviours and support needs of clients
Developing and implementing evidence-based behaviour support plans in collaboration with clients, their families, and the broader care team
Providing specialist behaviour support interventions and strategies to address complex behaviours and promote positive outcomes
Delivering training and support to clients, families, and support workers to ensure the effective implementation of behaviour support plans
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of behaviour support plans, making adjustments as needed
Maintaining detailed clinical records and contributing to the continuous improvement of behaviour support services
Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborating with other healthcare professionals
What we're looking for
A tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, or a related allied health discipline
Demonstrated or emerging experience in the provision of behaviour support services, preferably within the disability or mental health sectors
A thorough understanding of positive behaviour support principles and the ability to apply them in practice
Strong clinical assessment and case formulation skills, with the ability to develop and implement tailored behaviour support plans
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with clients, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in behaviour support
