This role is based in Mackay and reports to the National Sales Manager-Coal. The duties and responsibilities associated with this role include:
- Lead strategic business development initiatives to identify and secure new business opportunities within the QLD coal region.
- Build, maintain, and enhance customer relationships through proactive account management and engagement with key decision-makers.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the technical sales team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and successful achievement of sales and profitability targets.
- Actively promote Sandvik products by conducting technical presentations and demonstrations highlighting the advantages and applications of our ground support solutions.
- Conduct regular customer site visits, including underground audits and pull testing, to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for product and service enhancement.
- Prepare detailed reports analyzing business performance, identifying market trends, and recommending corrective actions to support continuous business growth.
- Negotiate sales and service contracts, manage working capital effectively, and maintain high levels of customer service consistent with agreed service levels.
- Be prepared to undertake domestic travel and work underground as necessary to fulfill role requirements.
