The Role

We are seeking a Finance Accounting Manager to provide accurate financial support to our business. The successful candidate will be hands-on, ensuring best practice, driving process improvements, and contributing to the strategic direction of the business from a financial perspective.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of half-year and annual statutory accounts, including project managing and coordinating the Group audit process.
  • Assist with the Group consolidation for statutory accounting purposes, including eliminations, equity, detailed consolidation of PPE, intangibles, and tax.
  • Draft technical accounting policies to cover various topics applicable to CFL.
  • Responsible for the application of new accounting standards, including leading the implementation of the standard.
  • Lead the accounting treatment process of ad-hoc or new transaction types.
  • Lead the preparation of audit and compliance-related documents.
  • Support the preparation of board and ARC reporting and any additional related documents as required.
  • Contribute to Group-wide accounting policies.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deliver continuous process improvements.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects related to financial reporting.
  • Assist when required with the month-end procedures and support the Finance Manager during leave.
Requirements
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Advanced experience in the creation and delivery of technical accounting papers.
  • Demonstrated experience in foreign operations and multi-currency consolidation.
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Australian Accounting Standards (AASB's).
  • Advanced MS Office skills, predominantly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced experience with an ERP system (JD Edwards).
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical reasoning skills.
