Maintenance Role in Hobart's Parks and Open Spaces

City of Hobart is seeking a skilled maintenance assistant to join its team.
About the RoleThis position plays a vital part in ensuring the City's built assets and infrastructure, such as park furniture and equipment, meet service levels and Australian Standards. The successful candidate will conduct scheduled inspections, report faults, and implement maintenance services according to the City's prescribed levels. They will also assist with the Playground Inspection Program and support trade guidance for other staff members.
This role requires a Certificate III or higher in a relevant trade and demonstrated experience in delivering construction and maintenance programs. A can-do attitude, ability to work independently, and flexibility are essential. The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail and a responsive approach in a varied work environment.
