About the Role

This position is pivotal to the City's success, ensuring that various civil works and asphalting activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of tasks and activities while receiving valuable on and off-the-job training.

Key Accountabilities
  • Operate plant and machinery in accordance with operations manuals, workshop standing instructions, and directions from management staff.
  • Assist with the construction and maintenance of council's infrastructure.
  • Undertake asphalting works including road paver operations.
  • Undertake concreting duties including formwork and finishing.
  • Understand and interpret traffic management plans and implement them as required.
  • Be an effective member of the work team and maintain responsibility for the quality of own work.
Requirements and Qualifications

You will have experience in civil construction, including hotmix asphalting, concreting, and pipe laying together with the safe operation of small plant and other machinery.

A can-do attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a friendly team environment, is essential for this role.
