We are seeking a highly skilled Horticulture Tradesperson to join our team at the City of Hobart. As a key member of our Parks and Reserves team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our beautiful parks and gardens.

About the Role:

This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about horticulture and delivering high-quality services to the community. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement horticultural maintenance programs, ensuring that our parks and gardens remain vibrant and attractive.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • To participate as an active member of the Parks & Reserves team, providing support and assistance to colleagues as needed.
  • To maintain and enhance our parks and gardens, ensuring that they remain safe and enjoyable for the community.
  • To undertake regular inspections of parks assets, identifying any faults or damage and reporting them to your supervisor.
  • To develop and implement horticultural maintenance programs, working closely with the team to ensure successful outcomes.

About You:

We are looking for someone who has a Certificate III in Horticulture or a related field, and has demonstrated experience in the horticulture industry. You will also need to have a strong ability to organize and execute work programs to a high standard, and thrive in a team environment with a positive, proactive attitude.
