Fleet Operations Manager

The Fleet Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role in overseeing daily fleet operations, ensuring efficient vehicle movements, driver dispatch, route compliance, and maintenance scheduling.
\Key Responsibilities\

- Manage daily scheduling, dispatching, and tracking of fleet vehicles.\
- Ensure cost-effective and timely movement of vehicles and goods.\
- Monitor fleet performance using GPS and management systems.\
- Maintain records on vehicle availability, usage, and downtime.\
- Supervise and support fleet controllers or coordinators.\
- Lead team meetings, providing feedback and development opportunities.\
- Ensure compliance with transport legislation, including fatigue management, NHVR, Co R, and company policies.\
- Oversee incident investigations and safety audits.\
- Keep driver and vehicle records current.\
- Act as escalation point for service and driver issues.\
- Monitor KPIs such as delivery performance, fuel usage, and vehicle uptime.
To be successful in this role, you will need:

- 3–5 years of experience in fleet control, logistics, or transport operations.\
- Leadership or supervisory experience.\
- Knowledge of fleet management systems.\
- Understanding of transport compliance and safety standards (Co R, NHVR, fatigue laws).\
- Experience in high-pressure or 24/7 environments is advantageous.
