Family Support Professional

Henderson Healthcare is seeking experienced Family Support Professionals to work with a leading not-for-profit organisation in various locations across Queensland. We are looking for passionate professionals who share our commitment to supporting vulnerable children and families.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with Aboriginal communities, experience in out-of-home care, permanency support, restoration, and adoption. A Diploma in Social Sciences or equivalent qualification, along with relevant skills and experience, are essential for this role.

As a Family Support Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, welfare, family, and community connections of children in care. This is a permanent position offering an excellent salary, flexibility, and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide case management services to vulnerable children and families, including those with disabilities
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes
  • Develop and implement individualised plans to address the needs of children and families
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
Selection Criteria:
  • Social Worker, Psychologist, or Diploma in Social Sciences/Social Welfare (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in out-of-home care programs with vulnerable children and families
  • Strong background working with Aboriginal children and families, diverse cultural communities
  • Ability to obtain National Police Clearance, Drivers Licence, and Working with Children Check
