Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Allied Health Professional

atWork Australia is seeking a highly skilled Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Allied Health Professional to join our team. As a key member of our wellness team, you will play a vital role in supporting Indigenous Australians living with disability, injury, or health conditions to achieve their employment goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of candidates with diverse needs and barriers to employment.
- Offer counselling intervention as needed, utilizing various psychological methodologies.
- Refer candidates to additional external support services to address barriers.
- Provide evaluations on assessments and monitor the progression of cases.
- Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of candidates.
- Provide training and guidance to atWork staff on psychological services and procedures.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology with eligibility registration with AHPRA.
- Degree qualifications in Social Work or Counselling and current membership with AASW, ACA, or PACFA.
- Experience working within employment services is highly regarded but not essential.
- Knowledge of psychology assessment and intervention strategies.
- Exceptional communication, rapport-building skills, and engagement.
- Proven ability to construct accurate and articulate case reports.
- Ability to work towards generating positive outcomes for clients.
- Ability to provide a Police Clearance and Work with Children's Check.
